Mutemath to ‘Play Dead Live’ on upcoming tour

This fall, alternative group Mutemath will be hitting the road across the United States, promoting their new release Play Dead. The band have mapped out an extensive tour, including stops in Denver at The Ogden Theater, Seattle at Showbox SoDo, and New York City where they will play the exciting new venue Brooklyn Steel. If you saw Twenty One Pilots last year on their Emotional Roadshow tour, chances are you saw Mutemath kicking butt opening for them on the big stages. Now is the chance to go back and see Mutemath put on a full performance in more intimate venues. Tickets for the Play Dead tour are on sale now.

Hailing from New Orleans, Mutemath got their start way back in 2002, and have been climbing the ranks of the alternative scene ever since. Their self-titled debut LP received heaps of critical praise, after being released independently when the band’s label wasn’t sure about following through on the release. Having made a name for themselves right out of the gate, Mutemath made the rounds touring the US several times over, including pinnacle performances at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and Voodoo Experience Festival in their home town. Play Dead will be the band’s fifth studio album, and while an official release date is still forthcoming, it’s safe to say fans can grab the new record this year since Mutemath will be touring it so soon.
