Today Is The Day extend ‘Temple Of The Morning Star’ 20th anniversary tour

Nashville noise rock outfit Today Is The Day are currently in the midst of their 20 year anniversary tour for their Temple of the Morning Star album. When the tour was first announced, some fans wondered if they were planning to bring the madness to a town near them in the future. Today, the band revealed plans to extend the tour through September.

The second leg of the tour kicks off on Sept. 2 in Amityville, New York, and it will conclude on Sept. 20 in Portland, Maine. No opening acts for this leg have been announced yet. Tickets for these newly announced dates will go on sale later this week.

This week, Today Is The Day will make their way to Chapel Hill, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Their current trek, which features support from Boston avant-garde metal group Kayo Dot, concludes on July 30 in Montreal. The band will release their new studio album later this year via The End Records. This would be the follow up to their 2014 studio album Animal Mother and their first to include drummer Douglas Andrae and bassist Trevor Thomas, who joined the outfit in 2015. Information on the album will be released in the near future.
